Tell us about your business – what do you make and sell?

J.G Illustrations is a gift and homeware brand that celebrates colour, music, and all things feel-good! Each product has been thoughtfully created in my home studio, and features my bright and playful illustrations. I’m a one-gal-band driven by one simple goal – I design to make people smile! My products are made to brighten homes, gift uniquely, and spark joy.

 How did you get started?

My business journey began in 2019, when I started taking on pet portrait commissions. (This was a fitting start for an animal lover like me!) I absolutely loved it, so went on to set up an Etsy shop to sell my own art prints. From then on, my brand and product range has gradually developed over the years, and I now have an online shop full of fun and colourful greeting cards and gifts!

What does the GoodMarket mean to you and your business?

The Good Market honestly means so much! Working by yourself can get a little lonely at times, so I love having a Good Market to look forward to. It’s amazing to sell your work in person, chat to so many lovely people, and be able to see people’s genuine reaction to your products. There’s no feeling like it! But the best part is spending the day with so many talented, like-minded business owners, who I am grateful to now have as friends, thanks to the Good Market!

Can you describe the atmosphere of a GoodMarket event?

The Good Market has the most friendly and welcoming atmosphere for both the traders and customers. I always feel so comfortable throughout the day, and that is thanks to Rebekah! She is so kind, supportive, and genuinely cares so much about us having the best day possible. I’m always so confident on my way to a Good Market that it is going to be a super positive and enjoyable experience! 

What would you say to someone thinking of coming down to GoodMarket XL?

Do it!! You will not be disappointed!! Good Markets are so thoughtfully curated with amazing stall holders, and such a variety of independent businesses! As well as great tunes, lovely people, and all-round good vibes! I, personally, cannot wait!
