By all means we’re not exclusive to local and love to welcome a visitors and traders from all over, however GoodLiverpool as we were founded, has always hero’d and backed local. And understand that helping local businesses and creatives thrive, gives back to the people you see and care about. This also brings change and progress. When we first started GoodMarket the high street was a faded picture of what it once was. Still struggling we know that high streets still suffer to gain traction, however through the good market and the messages we bring, we can see change is happening. Buying local means more to our customers as they know that it’s not just about jobs, or the place they live, but dreams. Helping local people feel that they can have a dream means everything to us. 

Our local committees are a mirror of what we put into it. Together we can go that extra mile and help build the future of our high street. 

And we’ve only just started.

Sustainability

Artisane

Love, love love. That’s what you’ll find with our retailers and their products. They’re passionate about their product, and why shouldn’t they be? Often hand crafted and lovingly made or designed we encourage our customers to get involved, ask questions and understand the process. Many of our retailers have a great story, some abandoning big careers to peruse a passion, others discovering a new skill or some for mental well being. Behind every brand is a great story.

Curated

Unlike most markets we pride ourselves on ensuring that each and every market is curated. What that means is that every retailer at our market is hand selected to complemented each venue and customer. To add to that we also ensure that where relevant we don’t give slots where traders are repeated.  This helps the retailer feel exclusive and also your experience to be as special as it can be.

Purpose

We like to back businesses with purpose. That means businesses that create added value and give back in ways that improve the lives of others around them. Having a social conscious  isn’t just great for PR but shows that out businesses are interested in people too. Adding societal value does good and feels good too.

big business 

For some big business is a dirty word but for us we understand it’s place. Big businesses are changing, some at a faster rate than other but there’s momentum here. We feel that big business has a part to play in our story and our ability to make things happen for the smaller guys. Working together we can compliment each others needs and learn from each other. Change is a collective vision where everyone is involved.

Supply chain

Backing local means that we do our bit locally too. With 85% of our traders being from the Liverpool City region and 90% of our supply chain also being local we do what we can to practice what we preach.

Good market is a safe space for our traders and our customers where ‘good people’ are welcome. Any idiots will be asked to leave.
